Palmerston North Boys’ High School (202) Board of Trustees Election Invalidation Notice
Pursuant to clauses 9 (3) and (3A) of the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare invalid the election for parent representatives for the Palmerston North Boys’ High School (202) Board of Trustees held on 2 April 2004, require new elections to be held on 2 July 2004, and declare that the trustees holding office on 2 April 2004 remain in office until the close of the day before the day when the new trustees take office.
This notice takes effect the day after its publication.

Dissolution of the Board and Appointment of a Commissioner at Leigh School (1340)
Pursuant to section 78N (3) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby dissolve the board of Leigh School (1340) and appoint a commissioner to the school.
All functions, powers and duties of the board of Leigh School are to be vested in the commissioner.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998
Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre
Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 15 April 2002, which was granted under those Regulations to Raupo A. McGregor in respect of Kaipo Te Kohanga Reo (52719), situated at Kaipo Lane, Waitotara.
This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre
Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 17 October 2002, which was granted under those Regulations to Denise De Vorms in respect of Levin Private Kindergarten (40196), situated at 9 Victoria Street, Levin.
This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Contraception, Sterilisation, and Abortion Act 1977
Standard for Manufacture and Sale of Condoms
Pursuant to section 6 (1) of the Contraception, Sterilisation, and Abortion Act 1977, I, Annette King, hereby approve the International Standard “ISO 4074:2002 (E) Natural Latex Rubber Condoms – Requirements and Test Methods, including Technical Corrigendum 1” for the purpose of manufacturing for sale or selling condoms, subject to the modifications set out below:
(1) Insert after paragraph 11.2.3.2 the following paragraphs:
11.2.3.3 Labelling of condoms
The following claims may be included on either the outside consumer package or a leaflet contained within the consumer package:
(a) Condoms can help reduce the risk of pregnancy.
(b) Condom use may help reduce the risk of transmission of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
11.2.3.4 Labelling of condoms containing nonoxinol 9
In relation to the labelling of, and package inserts for, condoms containing nonoxinol 9:
(a) Claims implying that the addition of nonoxinol 9 helps reduce or prevent HIV/AIDS or sexually transmitted infections (STIs) shall not be included.
(b) Any claim for “added protection” shall specify that this claim is limited only to added protection against pregnancy.
(c) The label or package insert shall bear the following information:
“The presence of nonoxinol 9 has not been shown to reduce the risk of transmission of HIV/AIDS or other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).”
This approval shall take effect six months from the date it is gazetted.
The standard for the manufacture and sale of condoms appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 30 April 1998, No. 60, page 1343, is hereby revoked.
