Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990
The Place of Attachment for Vehicle Identification
Number (VIN) on the Vehicles Specified
Exemption From Specific Equipment Requirement
Pursuant to Regulation 90V (b) of the Traffic Regulations
1976, I, John Patrick White, declare that the Vehicle
Identification Number (VIN) on the vehicles specified in
Schedule 1 shall be located in the position specified
in Schedule 2.

The VIN shall be located either:
(a) on a non-removable structural part of the vehicle at
the forward edge of the spare wheel compartment in
such a way that it can be easily read; or

and Place of Attachment for Vehicle Identification
Numbers (VINS) Allocated in New Zealand”
published in the New Zealand Gazette, 20 January
1994, page 122.

Pursuant to Regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle
Standards) Regulations 1990 and pursuant to the powers
delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety,
I, Laszlo Andras Hidvegi, Senior Engineer Safer Vehicles
Policy, hereby exempt the vehicle in Schedule 1 of this
notice from the requirements in Schedule 2, subject to the
conditions specified in Schedule 3.
