Cancellation of the Vesting in the New Plymouth District Council, and Classification of Part of a Reserve and Vesting in the Taranaki Regional Council

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Wanganui Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby cancels the vesting in the New Plymouth District Council and classifies that part of the reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (esplanade) reserve and vests the said reserve in the Taranaki Regional Council in trust for that purpose, subject to the preparation of a management plan in accordance with section 41 of the said Act.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Thames-Coromandel District Council notifies that the following resolution was passed by the council on 20 February 2003:

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Thames-Coromandel District Council resolves to declare that land held in fee simple by the council and described in the following Schedule to be declared recreation reserve.”

Revocation of a Notice Relating to Reserves and Issue of a Fresh Notice

Under the Reserves Act 1977, and by reason of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the Conservator for the Tongariro/Taupo Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the notice relating to the Opepe Bush Scenic and Historic Reserve and another reserve dated the 3rd day of May 1990 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 31 May 1990, page 1953, and issues the following notice in its place.

Classification of Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator described above, classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a scenic reserve for the purpose specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Act.
