Traffic Regulations 1976

Traffic Sign—Helicopter Warning Sign

Pursuant to section 129 (6) of the Traffic Regulations 1976,
and pursuant to a subdelegation from the Director of Land
Transport Safety, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager Safer
Roads, authorise the erection, installation and maintenance
of the warning sign described in the Schedule to this notice.
The sign may be used in substitution for the sign described
as P8 Aircraft in Part 2, Fourth Schedule to the Traffic
Regulations 1976.

Schedule
Description of Traffic Sign

The helicopter permanent warning sign, to advise road users
that helicopters fly low over the road ahead, must conform
to the layout depicted in the diagram below and be in
accordance with the following.

  1. Shape and size
    Diamond 600mm square

  2. Background colour
    Reflectorised yellow

  3. Border
    Black, 25mm wide

  4. Legend
    Black, symbol of helicopter, height 250mm width
    500mm

Notice for Submissions on Draft Code of Practice

I give notice that, in accordance with section 91 of the
Retirement Villages Act 2003, I invite written submissions
on the draft code of practice to be received at my office by
Monday, 7 March 2005.

The code of practice covers:

  • Staffing of retirement village.
  • Safety and personal security of residents.
  • Fire protection and emergency management.
  • Transfer of residents within retirement village.
  • Meetings of residents with operator and resident involvement.
  • Complaints facility.
  • Accounts.
  • Maintenance and upgrading.
  • Termination of occupation right agreement by operator
    or resident.
  • Communication.

Copies of the draft code of practice may be obtained free

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator
for the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation and the Commissioner of Crown Lands, acting
under a delegation from the Minister for Land Information,
being the Minister responsible for the department of State
that has control of the land described in the Schedule, jointly
declare that the land is held for conservation purposes.
