Foundation for Arable Research Incorporated

Commodity Levies (Arable Crops) Order 2000

Arable Crops Levy

Pursuant to section 4 of the Commodity Levies (Arable Crops) Order 2000, a levy has been imposed on, and shall be payable by, the producers of any arable commodity grown in New Zealand.

In accordance with section 12 (1) of the order, the Foundation for Arable Research Incorporated has determined the rate of the levy for 2005 to be:

  • Herbage and amenity seed, 0.8% of assessed value.
  • Specialist vegetable seeds (such as hybrid brassicas, carrot, onion, celery, beet), 0.8% or to a maximum dollar value equivalent to the rate for open pollinated brassicas.
  • Maize, 0.6%.
  • All other small grain and seeds, 0.8%.

Nursing Council of New Zealand

Nurses Act 1977

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session in Respect of Fa’atalaia Tafili, Enrolled Nurse

Pursuant to sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (ba), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 4 June 2004, ordered that Fa’atalaia Tafili, enrolled nurse, be required to practise with conditions for a period of at least 12 months from the date of commencing employment as an enrolled nurse.

The council also ordered that Fa’atalaia Tafili pay $4,900.00 (being 35%) of the actual costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the preliminary proceedings committee and inquiry by committee of the nursing council and that a notice stating the effect of the orders be published in the Nursing Council’s Newsletter, New Zealand Gazette and Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand, and released to accredited members of the media on request.

Identifying details of other health professionals, institutions or clients are to be suppressed.

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session in Respect of Kellman Haira, Enrolled Nurse

Pursuant to sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (ba), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 12 August 2004, ordered that Kellman Haira, enrolled nurse, practise with conditions for a period of up to 12 months or until he provides evidence that he has successfully met the conditions, whichever is the later.

The council also ordered that Kellman Haira pay $6,500.00 (being 30%) of the actual costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation by the preliminary proceedings committee and inquiry by the council and that a notice stating the effect of the orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette and Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand and released to accredited members of the media.

No identifying details of other health professionals, institutions or clients are to be published.
