Notice for Hearing to Enter Summary Judgment for Unpaid Rates
Pursuant to Sections 63 and 64 of the Local Government
(Rating) Act 2002 and
Sections 137 and 141 of the Rating Powers Act 1988
Take notice that on the 12th day of November 2004 at
10.00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as counsel may be heard,
the Wellington City Council will move the District Court at
Wellington to enter summary judgment for unpaid rates
against the ratepayers of the land at
49 Patanga Crescent, Thorndon, Wellington
being the persons seized of the estates of
Ann Elizabeth Baumber;
Ethel Louise Grant;
Gertrude Harriet Freeman;
Frances Maude Mary McIlvride; and
Herbert Kilmister.
The plaintiff is the Wellington City Council, whose address
for service is at the offices of Phillips Fox, Solicitors,
Seventh Floor, 54-60 Customhouse Quay, Wellington.
Further particulars may be obtained from the office of the
Court or from the plaintiff or the plaintiff’s solicitor.

Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001
ACC Board Levy Recommendations for 2005/06 Following Consultation
Under the Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Compensation Act 2001, the ACC Board has recommended to the Minister for ACC a number of changes to the levy rates for the 2005/06 levy year. The recommended rates reflect:
- submissions received as part of the public consultation process;
- the latest claims experience; and
- recent cost trends for each group of levy payers.
The ACC Board’s recommendations are not binding on the Minister, who will obtain further advice from officials and actuaries before making recommendations to Cabinet.
Cabinet are expected to finalise the 2005/06 levy rates by December 2004.
The ACC Board levy recommendations are summarised as follows:
