The Correspondence School Board of Trustees Notice (No. 2) 2004

Pursuant to section 95 of the Education Act 1989, I publish the following notice.

Notice

1. (1) This notice may be cited as The Correspondence School Board of Trustees Notice (No. 2) 2004.

(2) This notice shall take effect on 1 October 2004.

2. The Correspondence School Board of Trustees shall be constituted as follows:

(a) A chairperson appointed by the Minister of Education; and

(b) Up to six members appointed by the Minister of Education.

3. The Correspondence School Board of Trustees Notice 2004 published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1 July 2004, page 2066, is revoked.

Pursuant to section 78N (2) of the Education Act 1989 I hereby appoint a commissioner for Opoutama School. All functions, powers and duties of the board of Opoutama School are vested in the commissioner.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Notice of Direction for Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Rangitikei College (195)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Rangitikei College Board of Trustees because of risks to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in the limited statutory manager:

• Financial management.

The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following matters:

• Short and medium term financial planning strategies; and

• consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication.

Merger of Lake Brunner School (3404) and Rotomanu School (3491)
