Ngāi Tahu Ancillary Claims Trust—Final List of Owners

The Ngāi Tahu Ancillary Claims Trust has applied to the Māori Land Court in Christchurch for approval of the final list of owners for the following claims:

Tatawai Claim No 53:
Lot 3, DP 300648, Area 60.6 ha. Sinclair Wetlands Taieri Plains, South Otago.

A copy of the final list may be inspected at any office of Te Puni Kokiri or any Māori Land Court or at all Papatipu Marae in the South Island.

Any person who wishes to object to the final list must do so in writing to the Māori Land Court, P.O. Box 2200, Christchurch, or by facsimile to (03) 962 4901 by 18 October 2004.

Notice of Intention to Take Land Adjoining the Auckland-Waiwera Motorway for the State Highway No. 1 Bus Lane—North Shore City

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).

The land is required for motorway to form part of the proposed bus lane on the Auckland-Waiwera Motorway (State Highway No. 1).

The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary to improve traffic flow and reduce traffic congestion.

All practicable alternatives were considered prior to designation of the land.

The proposed land use is in accordance with the designation under the district plan.

The owners of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take the land and advised of their right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Level Eight, District Court Building, P.O. Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be heard with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
