Central North Island
All land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
From the outlet of the Waikato River at Lake Taupo north along State Highway No. 1 to the Atiamuri Bridge crossing the Waikato River on State Highway No. 1, then along the southern and western bank of the Waikato River westerly along the Waikato River to the Waipapa Dam. From the Waipapa Dam north on the Waipapa Road to Huirimu Road. Along Huirimu Road to Aotearoa Road, along Aotearoa Road north to Wharepapa Road. Following Wharepapa Road west to Panetapu and from Panetapu south along Bailey Road on to Hingaia Road south to Wharepuhunga Road. West along Wharepuhunga Road to the junction with Mangatutu Road. South-west down Mangatutu Road to the junction with Paewhenua East Road. South along Paewhenua Road continuing on along Chindie Road to the junction with Tauraroa Road. West along Tauraroa Road to Toa Bridge. From Toa Bridge north-west along Waipa River to grid reference 125276 (NZMS 260-S16), from there in a straight line south to the road junction of Waipa River Road and Barber Road. South along Barber Road, continuing as Rangitoto Road, to the Rangitoto Road Block Road East intersection and then in a straight line to grid reference 048055 (NZMS 260-S17). From there south-east along State Highway No. 30 to its junction with the Waimiha Road to the Ruapehu District boundary. Follow the District Boundary to State Highway No. 4 (grid reference 022831 NZMS 260-S17). Follow State Highway No. 4 to the Ongarue River at grid reference 066724 (NZMS 260-S18). Follow the Ongarue River south to meet the Whanganui River at Taumarunui (grid reference 056546 NZMS 260-S18). Follow the Whanganui River south to grid reference 828307 NZMS 260-R19. From a straight line to the junction of Verona Stream and Mangatiti Stream (grid reference 930137 NZMS 260-S20). Follow Mangatiti Stream to the start of Muri Muri Road to Ruatiti Road and Ohura Road junction. Follow Ohura Road south to the junction of Orautoha Stream and Manganui O te Ao River (grid reference 027067 NZMS 260-S20). Follow the Manganui O te Ao River eastward to the junction of Makatote River. Follow Makatote River to the National Park boundary (grid reference 170128 NZMS 260-S20). Follow the National Park boundary northward to State Highway No. 1 (Desert Road) (grid reference 514270 NZMS 260-T19). Follow a straight line to Trig Papapohatu (grid reference 605357 NZMS 260-T19). From Trig in a straight line to Motutere Point on Lake Taupo. Then in a straight line south-east to the Mohaka River (grid reference 010264 NZMS 260-U19). Then following the Mohaka River downstream in a south-easterly direction to Trig 11391, then in a direct line south to Trig 12331, then south to the Makahu Field Base at the western end of Kaweka Road. Following the Kaweka Road east to Whittle Road, then along Whittle Road to its junction with Pakaututu Road. Following Pakaututu Road east to Puketitiri Road, then following Puketitiri Road east to a point on the road at grid reference 184065 (NZMS 260-V20). From this point in a direct line north-east to Trig Te Waka No. 2 (grid reference 257131 NZMS 260-V20), then north-east along the top of the Te Waka Range crossing State Highway No. 5 at the Titiokura summit to Trig named Wakaateo No. 2 (grid reference 296170 NZMS 260-V20). From here, following the high points of the Maungaharuru Range to Trig Patuwahine No. 2 (grid reference 427302 NZMS 260-V19), then in a straight line to Trig 88 Heruotureia (grid reference 451315 NZMS 260-V19),
then in a straight line to Rakaita Trig (grid reference 437354 NZMS 260-V19). From this trig north-west in a straight line to the junction of Henderson Road and Kerr Road (grid reference 931795 NZMS 260-U18) north of Rangitaiki, then in a straight line to the south bank of the Waikato River at grid reference 920839 (NZMS 260-U17). Following the south bank of the Waikato River to the State Highway No. 1 bridge crossing the river at Lake Taupo outlet.
Southern North Island
All land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
From the Owahanga River mouth up the Owahanga River to Crosshills. From Crosshills along the southern boundary of Crosshills Station to Waihoki. Then west along Huia Road to its junction with Waihoki Valley Road. Then south down Waihoki Valley Road to grid reference (NZMS 260-T25:733578) on the road. Then south to the Wellington Regional boundary at grid reference (NZMS 260-T25:723546). Then in a general west south-west direction along the Regional boundary. At the point where the Regional Boundary meets the Tiraumea Road at Trig 433 follow down the true left tributary of Woody Gully Stream. Follow Woody Gully Stream to the Annedale Road. Then down the Annedale Road to the Alfredton Tinui Road. Follow the Alfredton Tinui Road to the bridge over the Tauweru River. Follow the Tauweru River downstream to Coopers Road. Follow Coopers Road to the junction with Glendonald Road and Bideford Road. Follow Bideford Road to the junction with Mangareia Road. Follow Mangareia Road to its end and continue up the Mangareia stream until it meets the northern boundary of Te Rangi. Follow the Te Rangi Station boundary to Clelands Road. Follow Clelands Road to Route 52 and down Route 52 to Waiiti. Follow the northern boundary of Waitii and then Spothill to Dorsets Road. Follow Dorsets Road to the Opaki Kaiparoro Road. From there follow a direct line west to the Ruamahanga River, and then following the Ruamahanga River upstream to the eastern boundary of the Tararua Forest Park. Then following the eastern boundary of the park in a general south-westerly direction to Wallace Trig Featherston at grid reference (NZMS 260-S27:034099), then north-west in a direct line to Saddle Trig (Akatarawa Saddle) at grid reference (NZMS 260-R26:875264). From Saddle Trig in a south-west direct line to the Paekakariki Hill Road at grid reference (NZMS 260-R26:732166). Following the Paekakariki Hill Road south to Pauatahanui. From Pauatahanui following State Highway No. 58 west to the intersection with State Highway No. 1. Following State Highway No. 1 south to Ngauranga. From Ngauranga following the coastline and State Highway No. 2 to the Petone foreshore. From the Petone foreshore east following the coastline to Pencarrow Head, to Turakirae Head, to Cape Palliser, to Castlepoint, to the Owahanga River mouth.
Tasman/West Coast
All land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
From the mouth of the Motueka River, upstream along the true left of the Motueka River to a point where the Motueka West Bank Road meets the Motueka River, then west to Hailes Knob. Then north-west to Parapara Peak in Golden Bay, then south-west to Mt Olympus, then west to Mt Perry, then north-west to Percy Peak. Then along the high points of the Wakamarama Range to Mt Stevens, Mt Higgins, to Mt Haidinger in the Burnett Range, to Mt Burnett. Then south to the bridge over Gorge Creek on the Collingwood Puponga Main Road, then downstream along the left bank of Gorge Creek to Ruataniwha Inlet on the Golden Bay coast, and then
