Amendment to Prior Notice Specifying Medical
Practitioners Who May Prescribe, Administer or
Supply Controlled Drugs for the Purpose of
Treating People With Drug Dependence

Pursuant to section 24 (8) of the Misuse of Drugs Act
1975, I, David George Chaplow, acting under delegated
authority from the Minister of Health, amend the notice
signed by the Director of Mental Health on the 25th day
of September 1998 and published in the New Zealand
Gazette
, 1 October 1998, page 3933, by deleting the words

"David Finlay of Christchurch"

thereby revoking the authorisation for Dr David Finlay
to prescribe, administer or supply controlled drugs for the
purposes of that section.

Explanatory Note

Dr David Finlay was specified, under section 24 (7) (a)
(previously 24 (5) (a)) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, as

with drug dependence. Dr David Finlay has relocated and
no longer requires specification under section 24 (7) (a).
