Land Transport Rule: Light-vehicle Brakes 2002 Rule 32014
Pursuant to Clause 4.6 (2) of the Land Transport Rule: Light-vehicle Brakes 2002 ("the Rule") and powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety ("the director"), I, John Andrew Justice, Principle Vehicle Engineer, hereby specify the method provided in the Schedule to this notice to be a method by which it can be determined that replacement brake friction material complies with the Rule.
Schedule
The method prescribed in section 2 of Annex 8 of the UN/ECE Regulation No. 90 (Uniform Provisions Concerning the Approval of Replacement Brake Lining Assemblies and Drum Brake Linings for Power-Driven Vehicles and Their Trailers) (E/ECE/324-E/ECE/TRANS/505/Rev.1/Add.89).
To comply with the Rule, replacement brake friction material must perform to within plus or minus 15 percent of the corresponding original equipment brake friction material, with performance of original equipment and replacement brake friction materials to be determined by a test facility selected by the director.

The Traffic (Hamilton City) Notice 2003
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hamilton City) Notice 2003.

Pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, all roads in Hamilton City are declared to be in a closely populated locality at all times with a maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour, except for those roads specified in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule to this notice.

Pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962, the roads specified in the First Schedule are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of that Act.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometre an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Hamilton City) Notice 2001* is revoked.
First Schedule
Situated within Hamilton City:
State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff): From the northern boundary of Hamilton City to the eastern boundary of Hamilton City.
State Highway No. 3 (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth): From State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff) to the southern boundary of Hamilton City.
State Highway No. 23 (Hamilton-Raglan): From a point 60 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Newcastle Road to the western boundary of Hamilton City.
State Highway No. 26 (Hamilton-Kopu): From the eastern boundary of Hamilton City to State Highway No. 1 (Awarua-Bluff).
Baverstock Road (formerly Thomas Road): From Brymer Road to a point 1200 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along Baverstock Road from Brymer Road.
Borman Road.
Brymer Road: From Rotokauri Road to a point 1050 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along Brymer Road from Grandview Road.
Burbush Road.
Cate Road: From Kay Road to a point 300 metres measured northerly, generally, along Cate Road from Thomas Road.
Church Road: From State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 230 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along Church Road from Balmerino Crescent.
Cobham Drive: From a point 60 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along Cobham Drive from Bridge Street to State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff).
Dixon Road: From Waterford Road to its south-eastern end.
Echo Bank Place.
Exelby Road.
Gainsford Road.
Gordonton Road.
Hall Road.
Horsham Downs Road.
Hukanui Road: From a point 100 metres measured northerly, generally, along Hukanui Road from Brookview Court to Horsham Downs Road.

Peacockes Road: From a point 40 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along Peacockes Road from Waiora Terrace to Raynes Road.
Powells Road: From a point 150 metres measured easterly, generally, along Powells Road from Raymond Street to the eastern boundary of Hamilton City.
Pukete Road: From a point 10 metres measured northerly, generally, along Pukete Road from Milthorpe Crescent to the northern boundary of Hamilton City.
