Commodity Levies (Wheat Grain) Order 2002

Levy For United Wheatgrowers (NZ) Limited

Pursuant to section 3 of the Commodity Levies (Wheat Grain) Order 2002, a levy has been imposed on and shall be payable by the producers of any wheat grain grown in New Zealand for sale or processing.

In accordance with section 11 (1) of the Order, United Wheatgrowers (NZ) Limited has determined the rate of levy to be $2.95 per tonne (G.S.T. exclusive).

In accordance with section 2 of the Order, the period that this levy rate shall apply is 1 February 2003 to 31 January 2004 (both dates inclusive).

New Zealand Teachers Council Fees for 2003

Pursuant to Part X of the Education Act 1989, as amended by Part 10A of the Education Standards Act 2001, the following new fees (G.S.T. inclusive) will be charged by the New Zealand Teachers Council (“the NZTC”) from 1 March 2003.

Full Registration Application Fee

The NZTC will require payment of an $80.00 application fee from applicants who are being recommended for full registration.

The $80.00 full registration application fee will be paid by applicants who are registered provisionally or subject to confirmation.

This fee is non refundable and covers the costs of reviewing applications and managing the approvals process.

Payment of the fee is not a guarantee that full registration will be approved by the NZTC.

Registration Certificates

The NZTC will not be issuing any further certificates of registration following approval of full registration until it has completed its review of current policies and procedures.

The NZTC does not consider it appropriate to continue issuing certificates that show the title and logo of the previous organisation (Teachers Registration Board).

Teachers who do not receive a certificate of registration should show their new practising certificates to employers as evidence of their registration status.

The practising certificate is the only legal document that the council is required to issue to eligible teachers.
