Industry Training Act 1992

New Zealand Flooring Industry Training Organisation

The Board of the Tertiary Education Commission Te Amorangi Mātauranga Matua approved, pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992 (as amended), provisional recognition to the New Zealand Flooring Industry Training Organisation for a period of nine months with effect from 27 February 2003, to set standards for Levels 1 to 8 on the National Qualifications Framework for the flooring industry in the following areas:

Production, distribution, sales and installation of resilient/soft flooring and associated flooring surfaces excluding the production, distribution, sales, installation and maintenance of flooring surfaces such as slate, cement/clay tiles and pavers, ceramic tiles and natural stone and liquid floor coatings, seamless flooring and screeds.

The Board of The Tertiary Education Commission Te Amorangi Mātauranga Matua approved, pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992 (as amended), provisional recognition for Competenz for a period of up to eight months with effect from 19 April 2003, to set standards on the National Qualifications Framework at Levels 1 to 8 for the following industries:

  • Mechanical and manufacturing engineering and fabrication, excluding metal furniture and boat building.
  • Food and beverage manufacturing.
  • Chemical product manufacturing (principally cleaning products).
  • Cosmetics and toiletry preparation manufacturing and soap and other detergent manufacturing.
  • Lift and escalator servicing.
