(c) At Waiwera, commencing at a point approximately
5 metres north of the northern abutment of Titfords
Bridge and extending in a generally southerly
direction to a point at the northern abutment of
Hatfields (Otanerua Stream) Bridge (Route Position
274/9.54 to Route Position 288/2.80); a distance of
6.6 kilometres.
(d) At Silverdale, commencing at the southern limit of
the existing 50 kilometres an hour speed restriction
at a point 105 metres south of Moffat Road and
extending in a southerly direction to a point
approximately 1.04 kilometres south of East Coast
Road (Route Position 288/8.49 to Route Position
288/12.04); a distance of 3.56 kilometres.
(e) The Auckland Harbour Bridge and approaches:
(i) In the southbound direction, commencing at a
point approximately 45 metres south of the
southern abutment of the Onepoto Stream Bridge
and extending to a point approximately 223
metres north-west of the northern abutment of
the Newmarket Viaduct, including all motorway
ramps and connections to and from State
Highway No. 16 and Auckland City streets
(Route Position 311/8.38 to Route Position
335/2.53); a distance of 7.72 kilometres.
(ii) In the northbound direction, commencing at a
point approximately 170 metres north-west
of the northern abutment of the Newmarket
Viaduct and extending to a point approximately
305 metres south of the southern abutment
of the Onepoto Stream Bridge, including all
motorway ramps and connections to and from
State Highway No. 16 and Auckland City
streets (Route Position 335/2.58 to Route
Position 311/8.64); a distance of 7.51 kilometres.
- The section of State Highway No. 16 that is:
(a) At Auckland City, commencing at a point
approximately 355 metres north-east of Grafton
Bridge and extending in a generally south-westerly
direction to a point at the Waima/Haslett Footbridge,
including all motorway ramps and connections to and
from State Highway No. 1 and Auckland City streets
(Route Position 01/0.95 to Route Position 01/2.84); a
distance of 1.90 kilometres.
(b) At Waitakere City/Rodney District, commencing at
a point approximately 290 metres east of Fernhill
Drive and extending in a generally northerly
direction to a point 50 metres south-east of Old
Railway Road (Route Position 19/0.20 to Route
Position 19/7.46); a distance of 7.26 kilometres.
- That section of State Highway No. 17 that is:
(a) At Silverdale, commencing at its junction with State
Highway No. 1 at the Silverdale Interchange and
extending in a generally southerly direction to a
point 110 metres south of the Silverdale Interchange
(Route Position 16/0.00 to Route Position 16/0.11);
a distance of 110 metres.
(b) At Dairy Flat, commencing at a point approximately
900 metres north of Richards Road and extending
in a generally southerly direction to a point
approximately 200 metres north of Richards Road
(Route Position 16/4.82 to Route Position 16/5.52);
a distance of 700 metres.
(c) At Albany, commencing at a point approximately
130 metres south of Foley Quarry Road and
extending in a generally south-easterly direction to a
point approximately 20 metres west of Stevensons
Crescent (Route Position 16/11.85 to Route Position
16/14.50); a distance of 2.65 kilometres.

(d) At Albany, commencing at a point at the Albany
Highway/Oteha Valley Road intersection and
extending in a generally south-easterly direction to
Greville Road (Route Position 16/15.59 to Route
Position 33/0.00); a distance of 1.95 kilometres.

That section of State Highway No. 18 at North Shore
City, commencing at a point approximately 270 metres east
of Caribbean Drive and extending in a generally westerly
direction to a point approximately 150 metres east of the
Albany Highway (Route Position 0/0.30 to Route Position
0/2.20); a distance of 1.9 kilometres. -
That section of State Highway No. 20 at Manukau City,
commencing at a point on Wiri Station Road 50 metres west
of Ash Road and extending along Wiri Station Road in
a generally south-westerly direction for a distance of 940
metres to the intersection of Wiri Station Road and
Roscommon Road, along Roscommon Road in a generally
north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 700
metres, thence along State Highway No. 20 in a generally
north-westerly direction to a point 340 metres south-east of
the intersection of State Highway No. 20 and Puhinui Road
(Route Position 0/2.62 to Route Position 0/5.01); a total
distance of 2.39 kilometres.
This bylaw was made by resolution passed at a meeting
of the Transit New Zealand Authority held in Wellington on
9 April 2003.

Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on
State Highways in Transit New Zealand
Regions 3 and 4
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act
1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962,
Transit New Zealand hereby makes the following bylaw.
Bylaw
-
Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited
as the Transit New Zealand (Speed of Vehicles on State
Highways) Bylaw 2003/8 and shall come into force 28 days
after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette. -
Interpretation—In this bylaw:
“vehicle” has the same meaning as in the Transport Act -
Limiting speed of vehicles on State highways—No
person shall drive or take or permit to be driven or taken any
vehicle:
(a) at a speed exceeding 60 kilometres per hour on the
sections of State highway described in the First
Schedule to this bylaw; or
(b) at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres per hour on the
sections of State highway described in the Second
Schedule to this bylaw.
First Schedule
- The section of State Highway No. 1 that is:
(a) At Hamilton, commencing at a point 40 metres north
of Rotokauri Road, proceeding in a generally
south-easterly direction to a point 160 metres south
of Killarney Road (Route Position 452/5.57 to Route
Position 459/0.82); a distance of 3.77 kilometres.
(b) At Hamilton, commencing at a point 80 metres
north of the intersection of State Highway No. 1
(Greenwood Street/Kahikatea Drive) with Kahikatea
Drive, proceeding in a generally easterly direction
to a point 40 metres north-east of the intersection
