Bylaw Concerning the Stopping and Parking of Vehicles on State Highways: Transit New Zealand Regions 9 and 10
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw.
Bylaw

Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the Transit New Zealand Bylaw (Stopping and Parking of Vehicles on State Highways) 2003/5 and shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Interpretation—In this bylaw:
“motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.
- Prohibiting stopping and parking of vehicles—The stopping and parking of motor vehicles is prohibited on the sections of State highway described in the printed and bound Schedule held in the office of the Regional Manager, Transit New Zealand, Wellington, and in the Highway Management Division of Transit New Zealand Head Office, Wellington, and there available for public inspection.

Bylaw Concerning the Stopping and Parking of Vehicles on State Highways: Transit New Zealand Regions 11 and 12
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw.

Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw (Stopping and Parking of Vehicles on State Highways) 2003/6 and shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Interpretation—In this bylaw:

Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 1 and 2
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand hereby makes the following bylaw.

Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the Transit New Zealand (Speed of Vehicles on State Highways) Bylaw 2003/7 and shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Interpretation—In this bylaw:
“vehicle” has the same meaning as in the Transport Act 1962.
- Limiting speed of vehicles on State highways—No person shall drive or take or permit to be driven or taken any vehicle:
(a) at a speed exceeding 60 kilometres per hour on the sections of State highway described in the First Schedule to this bylaw; or
(b) at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres per hour on the sections of State highway described in the Second Schedule to this bylaw.
First Schedule

That section of State Highway No. 1 that is at Ohaeawai, commencing at a point approximately 340 metres north-west of the junction with State Highway No. 12 and extending in a generally south-easterly direction to a point approximately 300 metres east of the junction with State Highway No. 12 (Route Position 83/5.36 to Route Position 88/0.30); a distance of 640 metres.

That section of State Highway No. 12 that is at Ohaeawai, commencing at a point at the junction with State Highway No. 1 and extending in a generally south-westerly direction to a point approximately 50 metres west of Remuera Settlement Road (Route Position 0/0.00 to Route Position 0/0.42); a distance of 420 metres.

That section of State Highway No. 16 that is at Kumeu and Huapai, commencing at a point approximately 50 metres south-east of Old Railway Road and extending in a generally north-westerly direction to a point approximately 75 metres north-west of Trigg Road (Route Position 19/7.46 to Route Position 19/10.56); a distance of 3.1 kilometres.
Second Schedule
- The section of State Highway No. 1 that is:
(a) At Moerewa, commencing at a point approximately 330 metres east of Sir William Hale Crescent and extending in a generally easterly direction to a point approximately 123 metres east of the eastern intersection with Taumatamakuku Settlement Road (Route Position 96/8.35 to Route Position 96/9.78); a distance of 1.43 kilometres.
(b) At Whangarei, commencing at the southern limit of the existing 50 kilometres an hour speed restriction at a point approximately 130 metres south of Murdoch Crescent and extending in a southerly direction to a point approximately 130 metres south of Toetoe Road (Route Position 165/1.73 to Route Position 167/1.22); a distance of 1.98 kilometres.
