Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the South Canterbury Rural Fire District Notice 1998 Amendment No. 2.

(2) This notice will come into force on 1 April 2003.

2. Amendment of Rural Fire District Notice—The principal notice is hereby amended by deleting the Schedule and inserting a new Schedule as follows:

“Schedule

Otago and Southland Land Districts

All those parcels containing 1,157,000 hectares, more or less, as shown on S.O. Plan 19960, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Otago, as the same on those plans numbered NRFA 129 deposited in the Headquarters of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington.

All those parcels containing 5402.6629 hectares, more or less, being RES 3543, as shown on S.O. 1491; Lot 1, D.P. 58553; Lot 2, D.P. 58554; Lots 3, 4 and 5, D.P. 58555; more commonly known as Geraldine Forest.

All those parcels containing 4588.9109 hectares, more or less, being Lots 1, 2 and 4, D.P. 43809; Lots 5, 6 and 7, D.P. 43954; Lot 1, D.P. 60168; Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, D.P. 60169 and Lots 11, 12, 13 and 14, D.P. 60170; more commonly known as Waimate Forest.

All those parcels containing 9469.52 hectares, more or less, as shown on S.O. 20240, being part Run 344 (S.O. 13953), R.S. 41708 (S.O. 15958); Section 5, being 742.22 hectares, more or less, as shown on S.O. 18830; Section 2, being 141.63 hectares, more or less, as shown on S.O. 19981 (for ease of reference that land is also shown on plans numbered NRFA 135 deposited in the Corporate Office of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington).

Land to be Excluded From the Rural Fire District

Reserve 4790, being 2913.7366 hectares, more or less, as shown on S.O. 20240 (for ease of reference that land is also shown on plans numbered NRFA 135 deposited in the Corporate Office of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington).”

Balmoral Defence Rural Fire District Abolition Notice 2003

Pursuant to section 4 (4) of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Balmoral Defence Rural Fire District Abolition Notice 2003.

(2) This notice will come into force on 1 April 2003.

2. Abolition of Balmoral Defence Rural Fire District—The Balmoral Defence Rural Fire District is hereby abolished.

3. Revocation of Rural Fire District Notice—The Balmoral Defence Rural Fire District Notice 1985* is hereby revoked.

Māori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice, Wanganui 2003, No. 1.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is, in relation only to the piece of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, hereby revoked.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby released from Part II of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.
