Aggregate – Mallard Duck and Grey Duck and any hybrids of them, a maximum total bag not exceeding 10 birds for both species and hybrids combined.

Bag limit to decided subject to trend counts.

Definition of Areas

Area A: Wairarapa/Bush. East of main Ruahine and Tararua/Rimutaka ranges, apart from Area C.

Area B: Rangitikei/Northern Manawatu. West of main Ruahine and Tararua/Rimutaka ranges.

Area B1: West of State Highways No. 1 and No. 3 from Wellington to the Wellington Fish and Game Council region’s boundary between Bulls and Turakina.

Area C: South Wairarapa. East of the Rimutaka Range and south of the following boundary: From the summit of the Rimutaka Hill Road east along State Highway No. 2 to Featherston, east along State Highway No. 53 to the junction with Kahutara Road, and the Martinborough–Lake Ferry Road to Lake Ferry.

Hours of Shooting

6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Canada Goose may be hunted or killed 24 hours per day during the specified open season.
