Appointments to District Health Boards (DHBs)

Hutt DHB

Pursuant to section 29 (1) (b) of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000 (“the Act”), I appoint Keith Thomas Hindle as a member of the board of Hutt DHB.

This appointment takes effect on the date this notice is published in the New Zealand Gazette and will end on 9 January 2005.

Canterbury DHB

Pursuant to section 29 (1) (b) of the Act, I appoint Karen Mary Guilliland as a member of the board of Canterbury DHB.

This appointment takes effect on the date this notice is published in the New Zealand Gazette and is for the remainder of the term of office of the person who vacated that office and will therefore end on 5 December 2004.

Karen Mary Guilliland’s appointment is to replace an elected member of Canterbury DHB who had resigned.

Otago DHB

Pursuant to section 29 (1) (b) of the Act, I appoint Gail Tewaru Tipa as a member of the board of Otago DHB.

This appointment takes effect on the date this notice is published in the New Zealand Gazette and will end on 9 January 2005.

Southland DHB

Pursuant to clause 10 (1) of Schedule 3 of the Act, I appoint Lesley Frances Soper as deputy chairperson of the board of Southland DHB.

This appointment takes effect on the date this notice is published in the New Zealand Gazette and is for the period being the remainder of Lesley Frances Soper’s current term as an elected member of the board of Southland DHB and will therefore end on 5 December 2004.

Notice of Product Ruling

1. This is a notice of a product ruling made under section 91F of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

2. Product ruling No. 03/16 was issued on 17 September 2003. It relates to an employee share plan and various sections of the Income Tax Act 1994. It will appear in Inland Revenue’s Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 15, No. 11, of November 2003.

3. From 25 November 2003, a copy of the ruling may be obtained by writing to the Manager, Field Liaison & Communication (Adjudication & Rulings), National Office, Inland Revenue, P.O. Box 2198, Wellington.
