The Traffic (Matamata Piako District) Notice 2003

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Matamata Piako District) Notice 2003.

  2. Those localities and roads shown within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered LT0313/1, entitled “Matamata Piako District Council Speed Restrictions at TeAroha”, and held by the head office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:

(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or

(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;

as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

  1. The following notice is partly revoked:

Only that part of the Traffic (Matamata Piako District) Notice No 1, 1995* which is shown on plan TT9403/2 entitled “Matamata Piako District at Te Aroha” is revoked.

The Traffic (Taupo District) Notice No. 2, 2003

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taupo District) Notice No. 2, 2003.

  2. Those localities and roads within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered LT0316/1, entitled “Taupo District Roading Speed Restrictions at Taupo Township”, and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:

(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or

(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of that Act, and declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

(c) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or

(d) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of that Act, and declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 during the period commencing 20 December in each year and ending with 10 February in the next ensuing year, and from the Thursday preceding Easter to the Tuesday following Easter, but for the remainder of each year the area is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;

as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

  1. The following notice is revoked:

The Traffic (Hurunui District) Notice No. 2, 2003

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hurunui District) Notice No. 2, 2003.

  2. Those localities and roads on the plan numbered LT03/57/2, entitled “Gazetted Speed Restrictions for Roads at Hanmer Springs”, and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, and indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on that plan, are declared to be:

(a) closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962; or

(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976;

as may be ascertained from the legend. The plan and legend are hereby incorporated into this notice.

  1. The Traffic (Amuri County) Notice No. 1, 1984* signed on the 20th day of March 1984 is revoked.

  2. Only that part of the Schedule that relates to Argelins Road at Hanmer Springs of the Traffic (Hurunui District) Notice 1997** signed on the 30th day of September 1997 is revoked.

Pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This Notice may be cited as the Traffic (Marlborough District) Notice 2003.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times with a maximum speed limit of 50 kilometres an hour pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.
