Nurses Act 1977
Order of the Nursing Council in Disciplinary Session in Respect of a Registered General and Obstetric Nurse
After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (a), 42 (a), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”), in a decision dated 20 December 2002, ordered that a registered general and obstetric nurse be removed from the register and stated that the nurse may reapply for reinstatement after 12 months.
The council also ordered that the nurse pay $10,900.00, being 40% of the actual costs and expenses of, and incidental to, the investigation and prosecution by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee and inquiry by the council, and ordered that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand and the nursing council’s newsletter, and provided to accredited members of the press, upon request, with suppression of the nurse’s and other parties’ names together with suppression of all identifying features of the case.

If convicted, an individual will be liable to a term of imprisonment not exceeding five years, or a fine not exceeding $100,000.00, or both. A corporation convicted of an offence is liable to a fine not exceeding $200,000.00.

It is recommended that a person signing a Declaration Card should retain the card for three months following the date of signing. Any person who receives a Declaration Card should also retain the card for three months or for the period that the animal is under their control, whichever is the longer.

This notice provides for an extension of the Central North Island Risk Area in the Pakaututu-Puketitiri locality, Hawke’s Bay.
Revocation
The Declaration issued on the 7th day of February 2002 in regard to movement controls for bovine tuberculosis and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 7 February 2002, No. 11, page 303 and in Straight Furrow on 12 February 2002, is hereby revoked with effect from 1 March 2003.

European Union High Quality Beef Reserved Quota Allowance Applications for 2003/04 Quota Year
In accordance with the Quota Allowance Allocation System in respect of European Union High Quality Beef Tariff Rate Quota, up to 3% of the total quota available to New Zealand is set aside as Reserved Quota Allowance for possible allocation to New Entrants.
The closing date for applications from New Entrants (including Year 2 and Year 3 New Entrants) for Reserved Quota Allowance for the 2003/2004 Quota Year beginning 1 July 2003 is 1 March 2003.
Applications must be made in writing on Form 7 or 8, section 18 of the Quota Manual (September 2002 edition). Printable copies of the appropriate application forms are available from Meat New Zealand’s web site at http://www.meatnz.co.nz/wdbctx/corporate/exporting.home
Please note the application forms applicable for the 2003/2004 Quota Year were amended in August 2002. Applications must be completed using the amended forms.
The applicant must provide:
? An application fee of $250.00 + G.S.T. (non refundable);
? Meat New Zealand Export Licence Number;
? evidence of procurement details with accompanying letter(s) of confirmation if applicable;
? evidence of ability to process at an EU Listed Premises or ability to toll process with accompanying letter(s) of confirmation; and

Occupational Therapy (Fees) Notice 2003

Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Occupational Therapy (Fees) Notice 2003 and shall come into force on 1 April 2003.

Fees—Pursuant to section 30A of the Occupational Therapy Act 1949, the Occupational Therapy Board sets the following fees payable to the board specified in the attached Schedule.

Tax—The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.
