Notice of Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager at Kairanga School (2370)

Pursuant to Section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager to Kairanga School because of risks to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in the limited statutory manager:

? Personnel issues including performance management of the principal;
? dealing with all complaints to the board; and
? sharing information effectively with the school community.

The limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following matters:
? Appointment processes for the appointment of new staff; and
? induction and support programmes for staff.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of its publication.
