Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name

Product—Agriculture (Notice No. 1268)

Pursuant to section 14 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997, the Director-General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry hereby gives notice that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9 (1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (ACVM) Act 1997:

Trade Name: Suprelorin
Reference: A09158

Active Ingredient and Concentration:
Deslorelin acetate 117.6g/kg

General Use Claim:
Suprelorin is indicated for normal entire dogs which are required to be made temporarily infertile. It can be used as an alternative to surgery, and as an aid in the control of unacceptable behaviour and androgen-induced diseases such as benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Any person may make a written submission to the Director-General under section 17 of the ACVM Act 1997 concerning any application notified above.

Such submissions:
(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission;
(b) may state any decision sought on that application;
(c) must be received by the Director-General no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in this New Zealand Gazette; and
(d) should be forwarded to the address given below.

A copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for their information.

Dissolution of the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee (Notice No. 1266)

In accordance with Regulation 21(2) of the Raspberry Marketing Authorities (Dissolution) Regulations 1999, the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee has advised that it is satisfied that the requirements of Regulation 21 (1) have been complied with.

I give notice under Regulation 22 (1) that the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee is dissolved from the date of this notice.
