Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road—Tasman District

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated
5 June 2002 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit
New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares those parts of State
highway described in the Schedule hereto and, as more
particularly shown on plans LAR/10/6/18, LAR/10/6/19 and
LAR/10/60/13 and accompanying Schedules held in the
office of the Regional Manager, Transit New Zealand,
Wellington, and there available for public inspection, to be
limited access road.

Schedule

Those sections of State Highway No. 6 in Tasman District:

(a) Commencing at the western abutment of the
Mangles River Bridge and proceeding generally in
south-westerly direction to a point 190 metres east
of the intersection with Grey Street, Murchison
(Route Position 239.00 to Route Position 239/3.93);
a distance of 3.93 kilometres.

(b) Commencing at the western abutment of the
Matakitaki Bridge at Murchison and proceeding in
a north-westerly direction to the eastern abutment of
Doughboy Creek (Route Position 239/9.46 to Route
Position 239/5.14); a distance of 4.32 kilometres.

Revoking Section of State Highway and Declaring New Section of State Highway—No. 6, Murchison

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989,
the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the
section of State Highway No. 6 described in the First
Schedule hereto is revoked, and the section of road described
in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be State
Highway No. 6 within the meaning and for the purpose of the
Transit New Zealand Act 1989.

First Schedule

The section of State Highway No. 6 that is in Tasman
District, commencing at the intersection with Chalgrave
Street and River View Terrace and proceeding in a southerly
then westerly direction along Chalgrave Street then Waller
Street to a point 176 metres east of the intersection with
Grey Street (Route Position 239/3.070 to Route Position
239/3.936); a distance of 866 metres.

Second Schedule

The newly constructed section of road that is in Tasman
District, commencing at the intersection with Chalgrave Street
and River View Terrace and proceeding in a south-westerly
direction to a point 176 metres east of Grey Street (Route
Position 239/3.070 to Route Position 239/3.936); a distance of
695 metres.

Authorisation of Exchange of Marginal Strip for Another Strip of Land

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Auckland Conservator
of the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation authorises the exchange of the marginal strip
described in the First Schedule for the strip of land in the
Second Schedule, which is deemed to be reserved as marginal
strip pursuant to section 24E (3) of the Act.

Notice of Intention to Take Land—Adjoining State Highway No. 1F, Waiharara

Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions
of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to
take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land is required for road and it is intended to use the
land to form part of State Highway No. 1F.

The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary for
the safe and convenient use of the highway.
