New Zealand Teachers Council Election Rules 2002 Notice

Pursuant to section 139AJ of the Education Act 1989, the New Zealand Teachers Council has made the following rules:

The New Zealand Teachers Council Election Rules 2002.

These election rules come into force on 21 June 2002.

These election rules may be viewed on the Teachers Council web site:
www.teacherscouncil.govt.nz
or at Level Seven, Lumley House, 93 The Terrace, Wellington.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 14 January 2002, which was granted under those Regulations to Margaret Wilson-Boyle on behalf of the Dunedin Women’s Refuge, in respect of Kowhai Childrens Centre (83012), situated at care of Women’s Refuge National Office, 82-88 Dixon Street, Wellington.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) (d) (i) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 21 May 1999, which was granted under those Regulations to Sonia Kohere, in respect of Te Herehere Uma Te Kohanga Reo (55231), situated at 65 Lyell Road, Gisborne.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999

Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 32) 2002 (No. F219)

Pursuant to Regulation 10 (2) of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, the Associate Minister of Fisheries hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 32) 2002.

    (2) This notice shall come into effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Interpretation—In this notice:

    (a) The term “customary food gathering” has the same meaning as defined in the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999.

    (b) Any reference to “Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki” means the person or persons appointed under Regulation 9 or 10 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999 as Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana.

    (c) Any reference to area/rohe moana means the area specified in clause 2 (c) of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Notice (No. 5) 1998.

  3. Cancellation of Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki—Virginia Bannister, being Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for the area/rohe moana under Regulation 9 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, has requested in writing the cancellation of her appointment as Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki.

  4. Cancellation of appointment—The Associate Minister of Fisheries hereby cancels the appointment of Virginia Bannister as Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki for managing customary food gathering for the area/rohe moana.
