Declaration That Land is a Reserve
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Banks Peninsula District Council on 3 October 2001:
“Resolved that the Banks Peninsula District Council support the recommendation of the Lyttelton/Mt Herbert Community Board that, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, it resolves that the piece of land held by it in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

7.3266 hectares, being part Rural Sections 2807 and 1857. Subject to right to convey liquid petroleum gas contained in Transfer 640938/1. All certificate of title 39B/330.

“Resolved that the Banks Peninsula District Council exercise its powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, and hereby resolves that the pieces of land held by it in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same are hereby declared to be reserves as specified hereunder within the meaning of the said Act.”

777 square metres, being Section 2, S.O. 19175. All certificate of title 40A/94 – recreation reserve.
7011 square metres, being Lot 1, D.P. 18171. Subject to easement contained in Transfer 429667, and right of way contained in Transfer 436869. All certificate of title 664/53 – local purpose (reservoir) reserve.
908 square metres, being Lot 6, D.P. 60942. Subject to easement contained in Transfer 557014.1, easement certificate 386814.4, and easements contained in Transfer 529833. All certificate of title 37A/357 – local purpose (reservoir) reserve.

“Resolved that in terms of section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Banks Peninsula District Council hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve for the purposes specified in section 17 of the Reserves Act.”

Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993
Notice Cancelling a Māori Reservation and Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338 (5) (b) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori reservation comprising Māori freehold land described in the First Schedule hereto, as set apart by a notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 30 September 1971, No. 72, page 2018, is hereby cancelled.
Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place and recreation ground for the common use and benefit of the owners and members of the Ngati Maniapoto tribes and related subtribes and to be called Te Keeti Marae.
