Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996

Notice of Appointment of Protection Officer Under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996

Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate those powers under section 16 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Maritime Safety Authority by an Instrument of Delegation dated 19 March 1997.

And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Maritime Safety Authority did delegate those powers under section 16 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director of Maritime Safety by an Instrument of Delegation dated 26 March 1997.

Therefore I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime Safety, hereby appoint:

Graeme Joseph Kearney

as a protection officer for the purposes of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996.

This notice comes into effect on and from 2 May 2002.

Public Works Act 1981

Road Realignment—Whakahara Road, Kaipara District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 20, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for road and shall vest in the Kaipara District Council on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to section 20, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Second Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired in connection with a road and shall vest in the Kaipara District Council on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(c) Pursuant to sections 116 (1) and 117 (3), declares the portion of road described in the Third Schedule to this notice to be stopped and, pursuant to section 120 (3), amalgamated with the land in certificate of title No. 90D/854, subject to memorandum of mortgage D. 194556.2.

(d) Pursuant to section 116 (1), declares the portion of road described in the Fourth Schedule to this notice to be stopped.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Stephen Robert Gilbert, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 20 (1), declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice is acquired for road which, pursuant to section 88 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, becomes road, limited access road and State highway and shall vest in the Crown;

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the portion of road described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be stopped and, pursuant to section 120 (3), amalgamated with the land in certificate of title No. 52A/109, subject to mortgage No. B. 616554.1;

on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
