Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a scientific reserve.

Declaration That Land is Reserve—Omori Road, Omori, Taupo District

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Taupo District Council hereby gives notice that the following resolution was passed by the Taupo District Council on 26 February 2002:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Taupo District Council hereby resolves that the parcel of land held by the Taupo District Council in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be, a recreation reserve within the meaning of the said Act.”

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Tongariro/Taupo Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land described in the Schedule and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Taupo District Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control.
