Authorisation of Exchange of Marginal Strip for Another Strip of Land

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Auckland Conservator for the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of the marginal strip described in the First Schedule for the strip of land in the Second Schedule, which is deemed to be reserved as marginal strip pursuant to section 24E (3) of the Act.

North Auckland Land District—Rodney District

First Schedule

257 square metres, being Lot 1, D.P. 210807, together with a right of way created by transfer C. 469300.2F and subject to a drainage easement created by D. 351955.1. Crown land reserved from sale under section 167 of the Land Act 1877. Part certificate of title 630/166.

Second Schedule

1247 square metres, being Lot 2, D.P. 210807, subject to a water and drainage easement created by transfer C. 506276.4. Part certificate of title 630/166.

All situated in Block XII, Mahurangi Survey District.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes, to be Part of Victoria Conservation Park, to be Wildlife Management Area and to be Part of the Adjoining Wildlife Management Area

Under section 8 (1) (a) of the Forests (West Coast Accord) Act 2000, the Minister of Finance and the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises jointly declare that the land described in the Schedule is held under the Conservation Act 1987 for conservation purposes as conservation park subject to that Act, to be part of Victoria Conservation Park and to be part of the Hukawai Wildlife Management Area.

This notice shall take effect on 1 April 2002.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes as Ecological Areas and to be Part of Existing Ecological Areas

Forests (West Coast Accord) Act 2000

Under section 8 (1) (a) of the Forests (West Coast Accord) Act 2000, the Minister of Finance and the Minister for State-Owned Enterprises jointly declare that the land described in the Schedule is held under the Conservation Act 1987 for conservation purposes and as ecological areas subject to that Act, to be part of the ecological areas named in the Schedule and to be managed to protect the scientific values specified in this notice.

This notice shall take effect on 1 April 2002.

Westland Land District—Grey District

Addition to Greenstone Ecological Area—

To complement and buffer the forests protected within that area.

Addition to Otututu Ecological Area—

To complement the lowland terrace ecosystems represented in that area.
