Radiocommunications Act (General User Spectrum Licences for Radio Microphones or Wireless Microphones) Notice 2002

Pursuant to sections 16, 17 and 55A of the
Radiocommunications Act 1989, 2 general user spectrum
licences, for radio microphone or wireless microphone
transmissions, were recorded on the Register of Radio
Frequencies on 13 March 2002.

Extracts from certified copies of the records on the Register
show the following information:

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate
its general effect.

This notice advises of the existence of 2 general
user spectrum licences issued pursuant to the
Radiocommunications Act 1989. The licences, created
for radio microphone or wireless microphone transmissions,
came into effect at the time they were registered in the
Register of Radio Frequencies on 13 March 2002. For full
details and current information on the status of these
licences, inquirers should refer to the Register of Radio
Frequencies held at the Ministry of Economic Development.

Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997

Notice of Intention to Make a Recommendation
Under Section 82 (2) of the Trans-Tasman
Mutual Recognition Act 1997

Pursuant to section 75 of the Trans-Tasman Mutual
Recognition Act 1997 (“the Act”), I give notice of my
intention to make a recommendation to the Governor-
General, under section 82 (2), to make Regulations
extending the exemption period referred to in section
82 (1) of the Act for a period of 12 months from 1 May
2002 in relation to the laws, and the provisions of the laws,
specified or described in Schedule 3 of the Act.

The making of such a recommendation is subject to my
being satisfied, as required by section 82 (2) of the Act,
that no fewer than two-thirds of the participating
jurisdictions have endorsed the terms of the proposed
Regulations.

The Education (Foreign Students) Notice 2002

Pursuant to section 4A (1) and 4C of the Education Act
1989, the Minister of Education, by and through the Senior
Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education,
acting under delegated authority, gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be
    cited as Education (Foreign Students) Notice 2002.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the
date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Foreign students entitled to enrol at State schools and
    exempt from payment of fees
    —A foreign student who is in
    New Zealand to study under an exchange programme
    approved by the New Zealand Government is entitled to
    enrol at a State school and is exempt from the payment of all
    fees required to be paid under section 4B of the Education
    Act 1989.
