Electoral District and Nature of Objection
N07 002 b Objection A D Lee
Similar to N07/001
Greenhithe is aligned with the Albany/East Coast/North Shore areas, not the western or rural areas.
Suggested solution Keep Greenhithe in its existing electorate of Albany.
N07 003 b Objection C R Collett
Objects to the boundary in the Escott Road/Drury Lane area (near Dairy Flat) as these two roads are essentially ‘paper roads’. Also objects to the boundary in the Kaukapakapa/Waitoki area.
Suggested solution Blackridge Road is a more natural boundary than Escott Road and Drury Lane. Haruru Road from Wainui to Makarau is a more useful boundary than Rapson Road and Stoney Creek.
N07 004 n Objection N Milich
Objects to the name ‘Helensville’ for the proposed electorate.
Suggested solution Call the electorate ‘Kaipara South’.
N07 005 b Objection S J Franklin
Similar to N07/001
Suggested solution Similar to N07/001
N07 006 b Objection S L Johnson
Similar to N07/001
Suggested solution Expand the Albany electorate to include Greenhithe, Coatesville and Paremoremo. Then have two Waitakere electorates instead of the proposed three. This way there would be consistent representation for North Shore residents.
N07 007 b Objection J C Franklin
Similar to N07/001
Suggested solution Similar to N07/006
N07 008 b Objection K J Jordan
Objects to the use of the Waitakere River as the south-western boundary of the proposed electorate, as this river is not a static boundary but varies depending on weather patterns.
Suggested solution Use Bethells Road as the electoral boundary all the way to the coast.
N07 009 b Objection E A & A G Edwards
Similar to N07/001
Suggested solution Similar to N07/001
N07 010 b Objection C A & O P Bell
Similar to N07/001
Suggested solution Use Lucas Creek as a natural boundary between North Shore and Rodney. The Northcote area could be placed in Te Atatu.
