Suggested solution Transfer the area of Manurewa south of Alfriston Road into the Tamaki Makaurau electorate.

Objects to the name ‘Pare Hauraki-Pare Waikato’ for the proposed electorate, and to the proposed boundaries which split whanau and hapu communities of interest. Also notes inaccuracies in the Maori expressions used in the description of the boundaries.
Suggested solution Remove the hyphen from the proposed name. Move the southern boundary of Pare Hauraki-Pare Waikato electorate to include all of Aotea Harbour. Use SH31 as the boundary, near Kawhia. Amend the ‘Summary of Reasons’.

Objects to the inclusion of the Mahia Road area (which has a high Maori population) in the proposed Pare Hauraki-Pare Waikato electorate on the grounds that the boundary splits the community of Manurewa.
Suggested solution The boundary should proceed up Pahurehure Inlet then along the top of the Manukau Golf Course then along to Porchester Road.
