Reserves Act 1977
Classification and Naming of Reserve—Helensville River Reserve, Rodney District
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Rodney District Council notifies that the following resolutions were passed by the Rodney District Council on 25 October 2001:
“In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Rodney District Council hereby resolves that the land described in the First Schedule to this notice held by the Council in fee simple shall be and the same is hereby declared to be, a reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act.”
“In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Rodney District Council hereby resolves that the land described in the Second Schedule to this notice held by the Council in fee simple shall be and the same is hereby declared to be, a reserve for local purposes (museum) within the meaning of the said Act.”
“In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 16 (10) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Rodney District Council hereby resolves that the land described in the First and Second Schedules to this notice shall be named the ‘Helensville River Reserve’ as proposed within the meaning of the said Act.”

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager of the Southland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a public reserve over the land described in the Schedule.

1012 square metres, being Section 10, Block XI, Town of Gore (all certificate of title SL154/18).
