fitted to the brake system of the vehicle during
maintenance or repair, must be supplied or
approved by the vehicle manufacturer.

(vi) A Statement of Compliance with the requirements
in clauses (i) and (ii) above must be issued for
each exempted vehicle, identified by its Vehicle
Identification Number, by the authorised agent of
the vehicle manufacturer, and it must require
continuous compliance with the conditions of this
exemption.

(vii) The Statement of Compliance in clause (vi) above
is sufficient means of verification of compliance
with a set of technical requirements, alternative to
the specification required in Regulation 16A (1) (b)
of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974.

(viii) This exemption may be revoked at any time.

(ix) A copy of the Statement of Compliance in clause
(vi) above, together with every relevant supporting
information and documents, must be kept by the
person who issued it, one copy of Statement of
Compliance must be provided to the registration
organisation and one copy to the operator of the
vehicle.

Maritime Transport Act 1994
Notice of Withdrawal of Approval—Part 132 of the
Marine Protection Rules
Pursuant to Marine Protection Rule 132.7 (1) (c), I, Russell
Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime Safety, hereby give
the following notice.
Approval for the dispersant known as Simple Green and
manufactured in New Zealand by e-Products NZ Limited is
hereby withdrawn for the purposes of the Maritime
Transport Act 1994.
The approval is withdrawn for the reason that conditions
imposed under Rule 132.5 (1) relating to the approval of the
substance are not being adhered to insofar as testing of the
approved dispersant has shown that it fails to comply with
the specifications set out for Type 2 and Type 3 dispersants
under Rule 132.9 (1).
