Traffic Regulations 1976

The Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 2, 2002

Pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 2, 2002.

  2. That portion of The Traffic (Waimakariri District) Notice No. 1, 1992* dated 15 June 1992 that declares a limited speed zone on State Highway No. 1 situated within Waimakariri District at Waikuku is hereby revoked.

The Traffic (Ashburton District) Notice No. 2, 2002

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ashburton District) Notice No. 2, 2002.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

  4. The Traffic (Ashburton District) Notice 2000* dated 15 May 2000 is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Ashburton District at Hinds:

Bennett Street.
Cracroft Street.
David Street.
Delamaine Street.
Ellis Street.
Framptons Road.
Gray Street.
Hinds Arundel Road: From the Hinds Lismore Road to a point 50 metres measured westerly, generally, from Rhodes Street.
Hinds Lismore Road: From the Hinds Arundel Road to a point 100 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from the Hinds Arundel Road.

Isleworth Road: From State Highway No. 1 (Awanui–Bluff) to a point 200 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said road from Nugent Street.
James Street.
John Street.
Johnstone Street.
McConnells Road: From Bennett Street to a point 50 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Bennett Street.
Nugent Street.
Reed Street.
Rhodes Street.
Robert Street.
Rogers Street.
William Street.

Second Schedule

Situated within the Ashburton District at Hinds:

State Highway No. 1 (Awanui–Bluff): From a point 80 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said highway from William Street to a point 50 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said highway from Cracroft Street.

Parker Street: From White Street to Railway Terrace.
Ruane Street.
Pyke Street.
Railway Terrace: From White Street to McLean Street.
Redcliffe Road.
Glenavy Tawai Road: From State Highway No. 1 to a point 100 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said road from Ruane Street.
White Street.

Second Schedule

Situated within the Waimate District at Glenavy:

State Highway No. 1 (Awanui–Bluff): From a point 120 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State Highway from White Street to a point 240
