Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10 of the District Courts Act 1947 and
section 5 (1) of the Family Courts Act 1980, Her Excellency
the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased
to appoint

Mary Norma Elizabeth O’Dwyer

as an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise
the jurisdiction of the Family Courts for a period of six
months from 1 November 2002.

District Courts Act 1947

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947,
Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to appoint

Neville Clarke Jaine, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and
criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand and to exercise the
criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part IIA of
the District Courts Act 1947, at such place or places and
for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court
Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the
District Courts Act 1947, for a term of two years on and
from the 7th day of October 2002.

Public Trust Act 2001

Notice of Claim

This notice is given pursuant to section 101 (2) of the Public
Trust Act 2001.

To all creditors and claimants of Due Pecoroni (a company
that was deregistered in October 1998):

The sum of $9,167.00 has been paid to the Public Trust to
hold in the name of the deregistered company.

A claim has been lodged by Felice Freda, a former director
and shareholder of the company.

The Public Trust is proposing to pay the amount of the
claim (less associated costs) to Felice Freda and one other
shareholder, subject to any notice of claim being received
on or prior to 26 October 2002.

Any person having any interest in priority to that of the
claimants is to submit a claim to the National Manager,
Public Trust Central Service Centre, P.O. Box 31-543,
Lower Hutt (Attention: Ken Southam) on or prior to the
above-mentioned date.

Note: This is the first and only notice of this claim

Unclaimed Property—Notice of Intention to Elect to Manage Property

Pursuant to section 101 (1) of the Public Trust Act 2001,
Public Trust hereby gives notice that:

(a) Harold Leon Harley, solicitor of Nelson, who died
at Nelson on or about 10 June 1968;
Eric Beaumont Jackson, retired insurance agent,
who died at Nelson on or about 7 February 1976;
Charles Yates Fell, solicitor of Nelson, who died
at Nelson on or about 9 June 1918; and
William Rout, land agent of Nelson, who died at
Nelson on or about 15 May 1933

are the owners of the property described in the
Schedule hereto.

(b) Public Trust elects to become manager of the
property, it being satisfied that it is advisable
in terms of section 101 (1) of the above Act.

Schedule

A narrow strip of land surveyed as a road but never legalised
adjoining Upper Brook Street, Nelson, being an estate in fee
simple containing 2.2536 hectares, certificate of title 115/54
(Nelson Registry).

Appointment of Event Organiser for America’s Cup Challenger Selection Series (Louis Vuitton Cup)—Correction of Name

On 5 September 2002, I appointed Challenger of Record
Management for America’s Cup XXXI (NZ) Limited
(CORM) as an Event Organiser for the America’s Cup
Challenger Selection Series (Louis Vuitton Cup).

Pursuant to section 13 of the Interpretation Act 1999,
I correct the name of the entity appointed as Event
Organiser.

The correct name is:

CORM – Challenger of Record Management for
America’s Cup XXXI (NZ) Limited

of 100 Halsey Street, Viaduct Basin, Auckland.

This notice shall remain in force from 1 October 2002 to
14 February 2003.
