Determination of Hazardous Substance

Pursuant to section 26 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority hereby determines that vaccines containing between 0.005%-0.1% thiomersal and no other hazardous ingredients are hazardous substances.

Traffic Regulations 1976

Exemption From Specified Requirements of Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to Regulation 90 (2) and (3) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to the powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety Authority, I, William Phillip Hyslop, Acting Technical Manager, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 hereto from the requirements in Schedule 2 subject to the conditions in Schedule 3.

Schedule 2

The requirement from which the vehicle in Schedule 1 is exempted:

Regulation 70 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Schedule 3

Conditions of this exemption:

(i) When the vehicle is operated on a road, the arm and sawblade are parked so they do not impede the driver’s forward view through the windscreen and to the left and right of the driving position or constitute a dangerous fitting.

(ii) When the vehicle is operated on a road, mirrors which give a clear rearward view must be fitted at all times.

(iii) When the vehicle is operated on a road, the maximum speed at which it may travel is 80 km/h.

(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time.

(v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and must be readily available for inspection.
