The following conditions apply to the powers of the board and the limited statutory manager:

  • The powers of the limited statutory manager shall be exercised in consultation with the board; and
  • the limited statutory manager shall liaise with contractors and the board to guide decision making that will place the school on a sound educational footing.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication of this notice.

Notice of Appointment of a Limited Statutory Manager at Patea Primary School

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, I direct the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager to Patea Primary School (2425) because of risks to the operation of the school.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are vested in the limited statutory manager:

  • Managing board meetings;
  • dealing with personnel issues including performance management of the principal; and
  • dealing with all complaints to the board.

The limited statutory manager may also advise the board on the following matters:

  • Financial management; and
  • planning and reporting.

The following conditions apply to the exercising of the powers of the board by the limited statutory manager:

  • Monthly reporting to the board; and
  • monthly reporting to the Manager, Ministry of Education, Wanganui.

This notice takes effect the day after the date of publication of this notice.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Emmanuel Christian School (Attendance Dues) Notice 2002

Pursuant to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues at Emmanuel Christian School, Christchurch.

Notice

  1. This notice shall be cited as the Emmanuel Christian School (Attendance Dues) Notice 2002.

  2. The proprietor of the above-named school may enter into an agreement with parents or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the above-named school requiring them to pay attendance dues.

  3. The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall be $900.00 (exclusive of G.S.T.) per annum, per pupil.

  4. Attendance dues received by the proprietor shall be used for the purpose of paying for such improvements to, or for such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated facilities of the above-mentioned integrated school as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education, pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other charges associated with any of the land and buildings that constitute the integrated school.

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Josephโ€™s School, Queenstown.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on 26 August 2002.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the regional office of the Ministry of Education, Princes Street, Dunedin.
