Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle
Pursuant to Section 84 (6) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

To: Every constable and every bailiff and to the Registrar of the District Court at Rotorua:
John Duncan Turner, of 18 Sunline Place, Ngongotaha, Rotorua (in this warrant called the offender), was on 7 August 2001, convicted of driving with excess breath alcohol by the District Court at Rotorua.
On 7 August 2001, an order was made by the District Court at Rotorua for the confiscation of the following motor vehicle in which the offender has an interest:
Make: Mitsubishi
Model: Mirage
First Year Reg.: 1982
Registration No.: KR 8128
Under the confiscation order, the offender was required to surrender the motor vehicle to a constable or bailiff or the Registrar at Rotorua on 7 August 2001 at 4.00 p.m.
The offender has failed to surrender the motor vehicle.
I direct you, unless the motor vehicle is sooner surrendered to a constable or bailiff or the Registrar, to seize the motor vehicle and to deliver it into the custody of the Registrar of the District Court at Rotorua.

On 13 August 2001, an order was made by the District Court at Rotorua for the confiscation of the following motor vehicle in which the offender has an interest:

Model: Falcon XF
First Year Reg.: 1985
Registration No.: NC 9285
Under the confiscation order, the offender was required to surrender the motor vehicle to a constable or bailiff or the Registrar at Rotorua on 13 August 2001 at 4.00 p.m.
The offender has failed to surrender the motor vehicle.

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Michael John Green, retired District Court Judge
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part IIA of the District Courts Act 1947, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of 2 years on and from 9 August 2001.

Notice of Order Striking Off Practitioner’s Name From Roll

In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982
Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on 23 November 2000, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:

That the name of Sean Patrick Edmund Ford be struck off the Roll of Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand with immediate effect.

Questions of possible costs awards in favour of the New Zealand Law Society or the District Law Society are reserved.

Questions of whether to award compensation and whether to impose a fine are reserved.

The Complaints Committee is to file and serve by 7 December 2000, any information it wishes to present to the Tribunal relating to the practitioner’s financial position (for example in relation to the money the practitioner has received from the sale of his practice).

The Complaints Committee is to serve upon Sean Patrick Edmund Ford by 7 December 2000, the schedule of costs claimed by the Complaints Committee, the schedule of costs and expenses claimed in respect of the inquiry by the Tribunal and a copy of this decision.

The practitioner is to file with the Tribunal and serve on the Complaints Committee by 21 December 2000, any further information he wishes to present by affidavit or submission in relation to the matters that have been reserved.
