1. OPEN SEASON

Hikutaia River downstream from the ford
on the Whangamata Track all year
Mangaotaki River downstream from the lower
bridge on the Mangaotaki Road (Pio Pio) all year
Mangawhio River between the Waikato River
and the Falls all year
Marokopa River downstream from its confluence
with the Mangatua Stream all year
Ohinemuri River downstream from the
Victoria Street Bridge, at Waihi all year
Puniu River downstream from the Seafund Road
bridge all year
Waihou River all year
Waikato River all year
Waimakariri Stream all year
Waipa River downstream from Toa Bridge (some
16km upstream from Otorohanga) all year
Wairoa River all year
Waitawheta Stream downstream from the upstream
end of the public vehicle access on Franklin
Road all year
Whanganui River downstream from its confluence
with the Whakapapa River all year
All other open waters, except those specified
in Section 2.1 of this Schedule 1 October-30 June
(inclusive)

2. CLOSED WATERS

Subject to Section 2.2. of this Schedule

2.1 No licence holder shall take sports fish from the following waters:

All rivers, streams and their tributaries which flow into but not including Lake Arapuni, Lake Waipapa, Lake Karapiro and that part of the Waikato River downstream from the Maraetai Dam to above the Karapiro Dam.
