Permits Authorising the Taking of Toothfish

(Dissostichus eleginoides and Dissostichus mawsoni)
Within the Waters to Which the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) Applies

Pursuant to section 5 of the Antarctic Marine Living
Resources Act 1981, the Minister of Fisheries gives the
following notice.

Notice

I have authorised the following companies to take toothfish
(Dissostichus eleginoides and Dissostichus mawsoni) within
the CCAMLR Statistical Sub-area 88.1, subject to certain
conditions as detailed in each individual permit:

• New Zealand Longline Limited (in respect of the vessel Janas);
• Sanford Limited (in respect of the vessel San Aotea II);
• Independent Fisheries Limited (in respect of the vessel Sonrisa).

Each permit is valid from date of issue until 31 August 2001.
