Revocation of a Notice Relating to a Reserve and Issue of a Fresh Notice

Under section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, and by reason of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the Acting Community Relations Manager revokes the notice headed Classification of Reserve dated 3 July 2001 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 July 2001, No. 71, page 1693, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Pursuant to section 320 of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, and in accordance with a recommendation made by the Māori Land Court to the Minister of Transport, I, The Right Honourable Dame Silvia Cartwright, the Governor-General of New Zealand, declare the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be road.

Schedule

Part Hohotaka 2B Block, containing 6960 square metres, and part Manunui A17, containing 1136 square metres; shown marked “A” and “B” respectively on plan ML 22404; and Part Stream Bed, containing 13 square metres; shown marked “G” and “H” respectively on plan ML 22408.

Given under the hand of Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 28th day of June 2001.

Classification of Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Community Relations Manager of the Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Roadway Declared Road in the South Auckland Land District

Redefining the Class of Persons for Whose Benefit and Use a Reservation is Made

Pursuant to section 338 (5) (d) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the class of person for whom the reservation is set aside as described in New Zealand Gazette, 22 December 1953, No. 9, page 176, is hereby redefined from “the Ngatikahu Hapu and the Maoris resident at Whatuwiwi” to “the hapu of Te Whanau Moana, Te Rorohuri and the descendants of Haititaimarangai” and that the said reservation shall be known as Haititaimarangai Māori Reservation.

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set aside as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a reserve, to be known as Pakikaikutu Māori Reservation, for the common use and benefit of the beneficial owners of Pakikaikutu 1C2C.
