19 JULY NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
It amends the Ministerial Direction to the Foundation for
Research, Science and Technology (New Economy
Research Fund Scheme) Notice 1999 published in the
New Zealand Gazette, 18 November 1999, No. 173, page
4102.
Replacing the “Funding” clause with the following words
further amends this scheme:
**“Funding
The amount of funds available for the Scheme will be
published in the annual Estimates of Appropriation. In
the 2001/02 financial year and out-years, the medical
and health research output will increase by $2.303
million.”**

Companies Act 1955
In the matter of the Land Transfer Act 1952, and in the
matter of section 338 of the Companies Act 1955, and in
the matter of Liberty Homes (Hawke’s Bay) Limited:
Take notice that I, Dr Alan Esmond Bollard, Secretary to the
Treasury, pursuant to section 338 of the Companies Act
1787
1955, hereby disclaim for and on behalf of Her Majesty the
Queen, all right, title and interest of Her Majesty the Queen
in all the following parcels of land:
(a) Seven hundred and seventy square metres (770m²),
more or less, situate in the City of Hastings, being
Lot 10 on Deposited Plan 18313 and being all the
land comprised and described in certificate of title
K4/639;
(b) eight hundred and five square metres (805m²), more
or less, situate in the City of Hastings, being Lot 55
on Deposited Plan 19453 and being all the land
comprised and described in certificate of title
L3/583; and
(c) eight hundred and sixty-eight square metres
(868m²), more or less, situate in the City of
Hastings, being Lot 80 on Deposited Plan 19453 and
being all the land comprised and described in
certificate of title L3/608;
being properties formerly held by Liberty Homes
(Hawke’s Bay) Limited, a company removed from the
Companies Register on 13 March 1991 and formerly having
its registered office at Hastings.
And I certify that the vesting of the said properties did not
come to my notice until 29 June 2001.

Notice of Approval to Act as a Statutory Supervisor
Under Section 48 of the Securities Act 1978
Pursuant to section 48 of the Securities Act 1978, the
Securities Commission approves Covenant Trustee
Company Limited to act as a statutory supervisor for the
purposes of the Securities Act 1978 in respect of
participatory securities to be offered to the public for
subscription for a period of 5 years from the day after the
date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette or until
earlier revoked by the Securities Commission.
The approval is given subject to the following conditions:
(a) That Covenant Trustee Company Limited is not at
any time a member of an issuer or scheme in respect
of which it acts as statutory supervisor;
(b) that Covenant Trustee Company Limited does not
at any time hold any office or appointment
(including appointment as auditor) or have any
involvement, relationship or interest in respect of the
issuer or any manager of a scheme, in respect of
which it acts as statutory supervisor, otherwise than
in connection with the performance of its functions
and powers as statutory supervisor;
(c) that Covenant Trustee Company Limited does not
at any time control or have the right to control,
directly or indirectly, the issuer or any manager of
the scheme, in respect of which it acts as statutory
supervisor, otherwise than in connection with the
performance of its functions and powers as statutory
supervisor;
(d) that Covenant Trustee Company Limited does not
at any time hold any participatory securities issued
by the issuer or any manager of the scheme;
(e) that no relationship exists at any time between
Covenant Trustee Company Limited and the
issuer, or any manager of the scheme, in respect
of which it acts as statutory supervisor that affects,
or is likely to affect, Covenant Trustee Company
Limited’s ability to perform its functions and
powers as statutory supervisor; and
(f) that Covenant Trustee Company Limited
maintains satisfactory professional indemnity
insurance in respect of the exercise of its functions
and powers as statutory supervisor.
Pursuant to section 48 of the Securities Act 1978, the
approval of Covenant Trustee Company Limited to act as
a statutory supervisor dated 13 August 1996 is hereby
revoked.
