Notice of Publication of Financial Statements of the Crown
Pursuant to section 31B of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance gives notice of the publication of the financial statements of the Crown for:
● the 10 months ended 30 April 2001, on 8 June 2001.
Copies of these financial statements are available:
● for inspection free of charge at the National Library of New Zealand, Auckland City Library, Wellington Public Library and Canterbury Public Library;
● for purchase at branches of Bennetts bookshops; and
● through the internet at:

The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 14 June 2001
The following notice is given pursuant to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 and sections 29 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988.
Notice

Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in the Common Fund) Notice 14 June 2001 and shall take effect from and including 14 June 2001.

Interest rates on investment agencies—The rate of interest that may be paid by the Public Trustee on moneys invested by the Public Trustee as agent of any principal in the common fund of the Public Trust Office (referred to in this notice as “agencies”) pursuant to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 shall, for the following terms and inclusive dollar ranges, be:

| (b) For a fixed term of 3 months: | |
| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.30 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.50 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.55 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.55 |
| (c) For a fixed term of 6 months: | |
| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.10 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.30 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.35 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.35 |
| (d) For a fixed term of 9 months: | |
| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.10 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.30 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.35 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.35 |
| (e) For a fixed term of 12 months: | |
| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.20 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.40 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.45 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.45 |
- Transitional provisions—(1) Paragraph 2 of this notice shall not apply to any interest payable in respect of the period that ends with 13 June 2001.
(2) Paragraph 2 (a) of this notice shall apply:
(i) to agencies that commenced prior to 14 June 2001, as from that date;
(ii) to agencies that commenced on or after 14 June 2001, as from the date of their commencement.
(3) Paragraphs 2 (b) to 2 (e) inclusive of this notice:
(i) shall not apply to agencies that commenced prior to 14 June 2001; but
(ii) shall apply to agencies that commence on or after 14 June 2001, as from the date of their commencement.\n
4. Revocation—The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 31 May 2001, New Zealand Gazette, page 1256, is hereby revoked.

Conservation Act 1987
Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become Reserve and Naming of the Reserve
Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Northland Conservator of the Department of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes and, pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, further declares that the conservation area be set apart as a reserve and classified as a scenic reserve for the purposes specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977, subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and further declares that, pursuant to section 16 (10) of the latter Act, the scenic reserve shall hereafter be known as the Takou River Scenic Reserve.
