Public Trust Office Act 1957
The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 18 January 2001
The following notice is given pursuant to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 and sections 28 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988.
Notice

Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in the Common Fund) Notice 18 January 2001 and shall take effect from and including 18 January 2001.

Interest rates on investment agencies—The rate of interest that may be paid by the Public Trustee on moneys invested by the Public Trustee as agent of any principal in the common fund of the Public Trust Office (referred to in this notice as “agencies”) pursuant to section 37 of the Public Trust Office Act 1957 shall, for the following terms and inclusive dollar ranges, be:

| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.70 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.90 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 6.00 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 6.10 |
| (c) For a fixed term of 6 months: | |
| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.70 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.90 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999| 6.00 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 6.10 |
| (d) For a fixed term of 9 months: | |
| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.60 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.80 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999| 5.90 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 6.00 |
| (e) For a fixed term of 12 months: | |
| (i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.50 |
| (ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.70 |
| (iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999| 5.80 |
| (iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.90 |
- Transitional provisions—(1) Paragraph 2 of this notice shall not apply to any interest payable in respect of the period that ends with 17 January 2001.
(2) Paragraph 2 (a) of this notice shall apply:
(i) to agencies that commenced prior to 18 January 2001, as from that date;
(ii) to agencies that commenced on or after 18 January 2001, as from the date of their commencement.
(3) Paragraphs 2 (b) to 2 (e) inclusive of this notice:
(i) shall not apply to agencies that commenced prior to 18 January 2001; but
(ii) shall apply to agencies that commence on or after 18 January 2001, as from the date of their commencement.\n
4. Revocation—The Public Trust Office (Investment Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 11 January 2001 New Zealand Gazette, page 61, is hereby revoked.

Designation of Airspace—Civil Aviation Rule Parts 71 and 73
Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 71.7 (b) (i), the following airspace details are amended with effect from 25 January 2001—

The upper controlled airspace over the central South Island has been amended to a lower limit of FL145 by amalgamating NZA958 (UTA/C, FL175 to FL460) and NZA752 (UTA/C, FL145 to FL460) to become a single airspace (NZA955) with the new lower limit;

The following Queenstown TMA/D and Dunedin TMA/D controlled airspace has an amended upper limit of FL145: NZA741, NZA742, NZA743, NZA744, NZA745, NZA746, NZA751, NZA945, NZA949; and
-
General aviation areas NZG974 (Two Thumbs) and NZG975 (Omarama) have been established.
Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 73.7 (b) (i), the following airspace details are amended with effect from 25 January 2001—
- A new low flying area is established east of New Plymouth (NZL362, Pouiatoa Forest).
Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 71.7 (b) (i), the following airspace details are amended with effect from 22 March 2001—

NZV776 (Lake Wakatipu) has been disestablished;
-
NZG770 (Queenstown GAA) is re-established.
