Approval of Revolving Amber Lights
Pursuant to Regulation 67 (8) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and by way of delegated authority, I, John Andrew Justice, Acting Manager, Safer Vehicles Policy, hereby approve the fitting of 1 revolving amber light to vehicles owned and operated by
J.S. Burrows (TOKOROA) Limited
and driven by persons authorised by that company, subject to the following conditions.
Conditions:
(1) This approval shall apply to vehicles used off highway in the Kinleith Forest area of South East Waikato; and
(2) The lights may only be operated in the area described in condition (1) above.

The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice 2001
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato District) Notice 2001.

Those localities and roads within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plans numbered:
TT0118/1, entitled “Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horsham Downs, Matangi, near Raglan, near Tamahere, Scotsman Valley, Tamahere, Te Kowhai”; and
TT9918/2, entitled “Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Huntly, Ngaruawahia, near Raglan, Rotokauri, Te Mata”; and
TT9918/3, entitled “Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Horotiu, Raglan, Rotowaro, Taupiri, Te Rapa Dairy Factory, Whatawhata”; and
TT9918/4; entitled “Waikato District Council Speed Restrictions at Eureka, Gordonton, near Rotokauri”; and
held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; except where declared:
(a) as 70km/h speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976; or
(b) excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962, as may be ascertained from the legend. The plans and legends are hereby incorporated into this notice. -
The following notice is revoked, pursuant to section 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962:

Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 2001/13 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highway No. 1, Ngauranga Gorge
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the bylaw as follows.
Amendment
- This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Delete all text in the Schedule following clause 6 and replace with the following:
Southbound—The section of State Highway No. 1 that is the Ngauranga Gorge at Wellington commencing at Helston Road Bridge (Route Position 979/4.58), extending in a generally southerly direction to a point (Route Position 979/8.16) 270 metres south of the northern abutment of the Ngauranga Southbound Overbridge structure, including the ramps and connections to and from the State highway; a distance of 3.6 kilometres.
Northbound—The section of State Highway No. 1 that is the Ngauranga Gorge at Wellington commencing at the North Island Main Trunk Railway Bridge (Route Position 979/7.33), extending in a generally northerly direction to a point (Route Position 979/4.51) 70 metres north of Helston Road Bridge, including the ramps and connections to and from the State highway; a distance of 2.8 kilometres.
This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.
