(e) At Arowhenua, in Timaru District from a point (Route Position 481/7.10) located 230 metres in a generally southerly direction from the centreline of Waitohi Road (Route Position 481/8.87) to a point located 40 metres measured in a northerly direction from the northern abutment of the Opihi River Bridge; a distance of 1.8 kilometres.

  1. The section of State Highway No. 6 that is:

(a) At Punakaiki in Buller District, from a point (Route Position 374/10.67) 240 metres north of the northern abutment of the Porarari River Bridge to a point (Route Position 374/12.01) 1.10 kilometres south of the northern abutment of the Porarari River Bridge; a distance of 1.34 kilometres,

(b) At Punakaiki in Buller District, from a point (Route Position 374/12.62) 660 metres north of the northern abutment of the Punakaiki River Bridge to a point (Route Position 388/0.72) 720 metres south of the northern abutment of the Punakaiki River Bridge; a distance of 1.38 kilometres.

(c) At Paroa in Grey District, from a point (Route Position 430/6.80) located 70 metres generally in a southerly direction from the intersection with Clough Road to a point (Route Position 430/8.67) located generally in a southerly direction 150 metres from the intersection with Rutherglen Road; a distance of 1.87 kilometres.

  1. The section of State Highway No. 7 at Totara Flat in Grey District, from a point (Route Position 224/5.10) 160 metres measured generally north-east of its junction with Granville Road to a point (Route Position 224/6.20) 950 metres generally south-west of its junction with Granville Road; a distance of 1.10 kilometres.

  2. The section of State Highway No. 8 at Fairlie, from a point (Route Position 57/0.82) 100 metres measured generally north-west of Alloway Street and extending in a north-westerly direction to a point (Route Position 57/1.64) located 110 metres generally north-west of Opihi Street; a distance of approximately 820 metres.

  3. The section of State Highway No. 67 at Birchfield in Buller District, from a point (Route Position 14/13.26) 380 metres measured in a generally northerly direction from Big Ditch Bridge to a point (Route Position 14/14.26) 1.01 kilometres measured in a generally southerly direction from Jones Creek Bridge; a distance of 1 kilometre.

  4. The section of State Highway No. 73 at West Melton in Selwyn District, from a point (Route Position 15/2.15) 250 metres measured in an easterly direction from the eastern boundary of the northern section of Weedons Ross Road to a point (Route Position 15/2.80) 400 metres measured in a westerly direction from the western boundary of the northern section of Weedons Ross Road; a distance of 670 metres.

  5. The section of State Highway No. 75 that is at Halswell, from a point (Route Position 0/2.77) located 50 metres measured south-westerly generally from Templetons Road to a point (Route Position 0/4.00) located at the intersection of the north-eastern boundary of Dunbars Road; a distance of 1.23 kilometres.

This bylaw was made by resolution passed by the Transit New Zealand Authority at a meeting held in Wellington on 5 April 2001.

Bylaw Concerning the Stopping and Parking of Vehicles on State Highways: Transit New Zealand Regions 1 and 2

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw.

Bylaw

  1. Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw (Stopping and Parking of Vehicles on State Highways) 2001/6 and shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Interpretation—In this bylaw:

“Motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

  1. Prohibiting stopping and parking of vehicles—The stopping and parking of motor vehicles is prohibited on the sections of State highway described in the printed and bound Schedule held in the office of the Regional Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Auckland, and in the State Highway Management Division of Transit New Zealand Head Office, Wellington, and there available for public inspection.

This bylaw was made by resolution passed at a meeting of the Transit New Zealand Authority held in Wellington on 4 April 2001.
