Legal Services Agency—Criminal Legal Aid Remuneration Instructions 1999
Pursuant to section 119 of the Legal Services Act 2000, the
Legal Services Agency gives notice that clause 5 (2) of the
Legal Services Board Criminal Legal Aid Remuneration
Instructions 1999 will be revoked from 1 May 2001.
Clause 5 (2) relates to payment rates for certain proceedings
category 1 and 2 matters.
Information to replace clause 5 (2) is to be found in the Legal
Service’s Agency’s Provider Manual and on the web site
www.lsa.govt.nz
All other clauses of the Criminal Legal Aid Remuneration
Instructions 1999 continue to apply until further notice.

Transit New Zealand (Bylaws Revocation) Bylaw 2001
Pusuant to section 70 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989,
Transit New Zealand hereby makes the following bylaw.

Title and Commencement—This bylaw may be cited
as the Transit New Zealand (Revocation) Bylaw 2001/2 and
shall come into force on the day after its publication in the
New Zealand Gazette. -
The bylaws specified in the Schedule to this notice are
hereby revoked.

New Zealand held at Wellington on 4 April 2001.

Explanatory Note:
This note is not part of the bylaw, but is intended to indicate
its general effect.
This bylaw—
(1) Revokes Transit New Zealand Bylaws that have
application to sections of roads which, in part, are no
longer appropriate for various reasons. Those parts of the
bylaws that are still relevant will be retained in new
bylaws to take effect from the date that this bylaw takes
effect.

Bylaw Declaring One-Way Roads on State Highways
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act
1989, Transit New Zealand hereby makes the following
bylaw.
Bylaw
-
Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited
as the Transit New Zealand (One-Way Roads) Bylaw
2001/3 and shall come into force 28 days after the date of its
publication in the New Zealand Gazette. -
Interpretation—In this bylaw:
(a) “Vehicle” has the same meaning as in the Transport
Act 1962.
(b) Without limiting or restricting their general
meaning, the words “public work” shall include the
operations of cleaning roads or streets, whether by
sweeping or washing or other mechanical means. -
Declaration of one-way road—The sections of State
highway described in the Schedule to this bylaw are
one-way roads and no person shall drive or cause to be
driven any vehicle or animal on such sections of road in a
direction contrary to the one direction designated in the
Schedule to this bylaw, and signs shall be erected on such
sections of road accordingly. -
Defence to driving against direction of traffic—It
shall be a defence to any driver of a vehicle charged with an
offence of proceeding in the wrong direction along any part
of a road described in the Schedule to this bylaw if the
driver proves that:
(a) the vehicle was engaged in a public work or work
involving utility servicing on the road at the time of
the act or omission; and
