Reservation of Land
Under the Land Act 1948, the Conservator of the Otago
Conservancy of the Department of Conservation sets apart
the land described in the Schedule as a scenic reserve,
subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves
Act 1977.

Otago Land District—Central Otago District
183.2230 hectares, more or less, being Section 4, S.O. 24769,
Part Document 5061479.8. Subject to a grazing permit for a
term of 10 years commencing on 20 July 2001 between
Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Commissioner of
Crown Lands, and Geoffrey Russell Brown and Joyce May
Brown, a copy of which may be inspected at the offices of
the Department of Conservation at Dunedin.

Authorisation of the Exchange of Part of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations
Manager of the Otago Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation authorises the exchange of that part of the
reserve described in the First Schedule for the land
described in the Second Schedule.

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a

1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the

marae site, to be known as Waikara Marae for the common

Use and Benefit a Māori Reservation is Set Apart
Pursuant to section 338 (5) (d) of Te Ture Whenua Māori
Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court,
the persons for whose use and benefit the land described in
the Schedule hereto has been set apart as a Māori
reservation by notice in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 43,
page 1119, 25 May 1972, is hereby redefined as being the
turangawaeware o Ngati Kopaki, Ngati Te Ara i raro i te
marara o Hineamaru.
