Revocation of a Notice Relating to a Reserve Exchange and Issue of a Fresh Notice

Under section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977 and by reason of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the Conservator of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the notice of exchange dated 2 February 2001 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 8 February 2001, No. 13, page 294, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Authorisation of the Exchange of Part of a Reserve for Other Land

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator of the Canterbury Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of the reserve described in the First Schedule for the land described in the Second Schedule.

32.0700 hectares, being Section 1, S.O. 20253.

Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993

Setting Apart General Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the general land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of marae for the benefit of the Ngariki Kaiputahi and the Aitanga a Mahaki Iwi.

Māori Freehold Land Set Aside as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set aside as a Māori reservation for communal purposes for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Haira Moku Takerei Ihaia. The reserve shall be known as the Tahoraiti 2C8A Reservation.
