Traffic Regulations 1976
The Traffic (Rodney District) Notice 2001
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, Peter Graeme Croft, Manager Safer Roads, give the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rodney District) Notice 2001.

(a) The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962.
(b) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to Regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

First Schedule
Situated within Rodney District at Kaukapakapa:
State Highway No. 16 (Auckland to Wellsford): from a point 220 metres measured northerly generally along the said highway from the northern abutment of Dyes Bridge to a point 160 metres measured northerly generally along the said highway from the northern end of North Crescent.
Situated within Rodney District at Point Wells:
Point Wells Road: from Harbour View Road to a point 600 metres measured southerly generally along Point Wells Road from Waimanu Place.
Situated within Rodney District at Wellsford:
State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff): from School Road to the north-western abutment of the bridge over the North Auckland Railway Line.
Second Schedule
Situated within Rodney District at Warkworth:
Woodcocks Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff), to a point 100 metres measured westerly generally along Woodcocks Road from Mason Heights Road.
Situated within Rodney District at Wellsford:
State Highway No. 1 (Awanui-Bluff): from the north-western abutment of the bridge over the North Auckland Railway Line to a point 650 metres measured southerly generally along the said state highway from Davies Road, and from School Road to a point 500 metres measured northerly generally along the said state highway from School Road.

It is notified that Transit New Zealand by resolution dated 3 October 2001 and, pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares those parts of State Highway No. 1 described in the schedule hereto and, as more particularly shown on Plans LA/13/001/601/D, LA/13/001/618/C, LA/13/001/667/D, LA/13/001/667/C and LA/13/001/720/B and accompanying schedules held in the office of the Regional Manager, Transit New Zealand, Dunedin, and there available for public inspection, to be limited access road.

The section of State Highway No. 1 that is:
(a) at Herbert in Waitaki District commencing at Burgh Street (Route Position 601/12.69) and proceeding generally in a southerly direction to the Waianakarua Overbridge (Route Position 601/15.20); a distance of 2.51 kilometres;
